Enable SSL in Jboss 6.3.0
We will discuss step by step document to run jboss on https site. We will need below prerequisites in order to run jboss on https browser. This is regardless of operating system in which Jboss is installed

  1. Jboss installed on the server
  2. SSL certificate i.e Self Signed or Signed from authorize CA authority

Below are the steps to make the changes

  1. Get the SSL certificate
    1. Using Self Signed Certificate
      1. create your self signed certificate in the JKS Keystore which is having jks file types by using java provided utility keytool which is available at location <JAVA_HOME>\bin  i.e C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_51\bin\keytool.exe
      2. Open command prompt and run the command  keytool –keystore<%KEYSTORE_NAME%> -genkey –keyalg RSA –alias appianlab.appcino.com –validity 1065 for e.g keytool –keystore mykeystore.jks -genkey –keyalg RSA –alias dev.nathdev.com –validity 1065
      3. Provide necessary password and  information for SSL and note down the alias provided by you
      4. SSL
    2. Using Signed Certificate
